Addressing Discriminatory and Xenophobic Practices Targeting Immigrant Laborers
Discriminatory and xenophobic practices against immigrant laborers remain a serious challenge in many parts of the world. Migrant workers face many difficult working situations such as being underpaid and being denied social and legal protection. Besides that, if the public attitudes are negative and the labor laws are barely enforced, these workers are at the highest risk even more. Solving the problem of immigrant workers requires leadership at home, machinery for the realization and collaboration between nations without which these laborers will not be able to get dignity, equality and respect for their basic human rights. The fate of millions of vulnerable people is up to the crucial and qualified decisions of the delegates in the UNHRC committee!
